Intensive course to improve climbing technique in Arco
Arco, Italy. Arco is considered the climbing capital of Europe. A large number of different rocks.
The course is aimed at rock climbers with a climbing level from 5b to 6c.
Course content:
- setting goals for the trip
- organization of general safety on climbing routes
- safety rules with lead belay
- release from fears: how to stop being afraid of lead belay
- cases of how to develop climbing technique
- mental training in rock climbing
- learn to read routes and think mentally
- solving route puzzles
- individual recommendations for training
The training is conducted by: Master of Sports for rock climbing, two-time world champion, Olha Bezhko.
ON DAYS:
Day 1: Arrival in Arco
Arrival in Italy. Bergamo or Malpensa airports. Renting a car, moving to the Arko Valley. Accommodation in apartments.
Day 2: Start of classes
Acquaintance with Arco is better to start from the Belvedere sector, from the rocks of which a beautiful view of Lake Garda opens. Determining the level of climbing and building individual tasks for each course participant.
Day 3: Work on technique errors
Identifying and working on correcting climbing techniques. Concentration on conscious climbing. Each passage is work on optimizing the technique.
Day 4: Rest
Lectures-discussions about rock climbing. Lago di Garda coast, cheese and wine.
Days 5-6: New areas of Arco
There are many rocky areas in Arko. The guidebook has 700 pages with descriptions of thousands of climbing routes. Sectors for classes are chosen by the trainer based on the climbing level of the participants and the tasks set.
